If you read last week’s blog, you will have been given some tips on how to reclaim your money from companies that should not have taken it from you. Hopefully you will have found this worthwhile – let us know if you have had success!
This week is all about earning money from having an opinion. Yes, you read that correctly – if you have an opinion on anything, then you could potentially make some cash and boost that income!
How does it work?
As part of market research stages, companies and organisations need to test out their products or submit their ideas to the public in order to gain constructive feedback. Groups exist (usually on social media) to marry the public up with these organisations and most will pay for you to tell them what you like about their product/idea and what you would change about it.
Focus opinion groups
Despite living in an online world, some face to face focus groups still take place. You need to sign up with certain agencies that specialise in these focus groups and you could earn up to £150 all from giving your opinion!
Some of the best agencies to look at signing up to are:
- Saros – typically pays up to £100 cash for two hours’ work, usually remotely
- QMR – typical pay per project is up to £200
- Trend Market Research – this is a high payer but you have to be scouring their Facebook group for the first come, first served opportunities
- Angelfish Opinions – check out its Facebook page for opportunities which pay up to £200
- Research Opinions – check out their social media pages for opportunities that see payments of up to £200
- Focus Force – lots of different opportunities paying up to £100 a survey
- Talking Point Research – UK wide opportunities paying up to £100 per project
- Bunnyfield – fun projects paying up to £150
- Focus4People – check out its Facebook page for opportunities
- Market Research 4 U – typical payment is up to £150
Survey sites
Sign up to a few of the survey sites below and get earning by filling in surveys – it can be time consuming but you could walk away with up to £200 per year – but only if you are patient and dedicated.
Remember that you do not have to pay to join these sites – steer clear of the ones that ask you to pay upfront.
Some great survey sites to explore and potentially sign up to are:
- i-Say – which pays in retail vouchers
- Swagbucks – pays cash via PayPal or Amazon gift vouchers
- Google Opinion – pays out in Google Play store credit and you need to download the app
- OnePoll – if you are interested in celebs then this is the survey site for you
- Panel Opinion – pays in cash rather than vouchers
Get paid to be on Gogglebox
Ok, not the real Gogglebox but the premise is similar. If you love TV and watch a lot of it, why not get paid to watch it and give your opinion on the shows? TV production companies advertise for these surveys via social media or you may be able to find one of these opportunities in the above survey sites if you sign up to them.
Become a mystery shopper
Retailers and restaurateurs always want to check up on their sites and the customer service levels within them. To do this, they contract mystery shopping agencies.
If you fancy going undercover then check out GBW, Retail Maxim and Grass Roots.
So whether you want to give your opinion from the comfort of your home or become stealth and go undercover, there are a range of options for making money for giving your opinion.
Give it a try! Let us know if you have any success!
